Visiting students are guided through some departments in Faculty Teaching Hospital and Faculty Children Hospital. Wards and diagnostic facilities that are seen include:
- ICU
- hemodialysis unit
- cathetrisation lab
- electrophysiology lab
- intermediate-care wards
- department of metabolic diseases
During Medical Study ...
The last three years of medical curriculum are devoted to clinical rotations, each lasting one to six weeks. Medical students work in small groups supervised by assistant professor.
The Teaching Hospital is located in Medical Faculty area, a quiet neighbourhood of other academic buildings and lots of gardens, but still few minutes from Prague city center.
